Cavewoman Stew

Cavewoman Stew

a paleo vegan comfort soup

In response to a rising concern that I may be harboring stowaways from India, I've decided to take those foreign scalawags out the old fashioned way: nutrition and herbs (she's a witch!) In addition to a bitter tonic of wormwood, black walnut hull and clove, I have readjusted my entire daily diet. No meat (only eggs), no grains (except rice), no processed dairy (cultured is good), no refined oils (so only raw coconut oil and EVOO allowed) no refined sugars (I'm not giving up chocolate), no alcohol (gin is a medicine and red wine is good for the heart and... Ok..) I am not as rigid on the diet as I probably should be but I'm confident that with a little energy work and some yoga therapy I can heal myself. Thank you to the millions of blogs and web resources I have scoured in the past few days. The vertigo is gone and I'm ready to feel optimal, amazing and energetic like a free, healthy, intelligent 29 year old woman can and should feel!!

carrot, celery, onion, garlic, turnip, parsnip, cabbage, maitake mushroom ("hen of the woods"), cauliflower, sea salt, paprika, black pepper, cayenne, loads of fresh thyme and garnished with fresh parsley

This stew is a hearty, warming dish with a power punch in the gut. Arg! Walk the plank belly bugs!
